The preliminary program for the ASIST Annual Meeting,
Thriving on Diversity - Information Opportunities in a Pluralistic World,
November 6-11, 2009, Hyatt Regency Vancouver, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
is now available and registration is open at
http://www.asis.org/Conferences/AM09/
    - 45 contributed papers
    - 44 reviewed panel sessions
    -105 posters.

New feature: An Industry Session on Monday morning comprises two parts:
the first, “Eyes on the Future: Trends in Information Technology”, presents a panel
of leaders from industry; the second, “A Glimpse of the Cutting Edge in Information Applications,”
will focus on product demonstrations.

- Opening Plenary Session on Sunday afternoon is Tim Bray, currently Director of Web Technologies at Sun Microsystems.
- Wednesday plenary will be a Pecha Kucha session, “Diversity in Digital Information Environments: Opportunity or Chaos?”
with Grant Campbell, Andrew Dillon, Allison Druin, Gary Marchionini, Cathy Marshall, Candy Schwartz and Elaine Toms.
