Right. Make the computer do the grunt work, not the user, who has
better things to do with their time.
It's like when you can't enter credit card numbers on web forms with
spaces. The one-off extra five minutesspent by the programme to strip
out spaces is far less than the accumulated minutes of all users
having to double-check their input. Bah.
