Hi all,
anyone know anyone in the Omni group? Their "we're so usable" attitude
is laudable... but their 24-hour trial license for OmniGraffle is not.
If you live far enough outside their time zone, you can't get a trial
license that works unless you get the timing exactly right. Here in
Australia, it is the 29th already, so the 24 hour trial license that I
asked for not an hour ago has expired before it is even entered. If I
leave it until after 7PM tonight (guessing an 18 or 19 hour difference
from here to Washington state), I could ask for another license but
they'll knock me back on the "hey you asked us for a license less than
12 hours ago" rule. Good grief.
I'd like a use case diagramming tool that works on my MBP on client
site *today* without me firing up BootCamp or waiting months for it to
appear on my locked-down corporate desktop machine. I'm happy to pay
for it (with corporate card standing by...) but I am not inclined to
spend a cent on OmniGraffle if I can't trial it first. ConceptDraw,
while not as feature rich as Visio, looked good for a while there.
Cheers, Andrew
