You are an "elephant" who never forgets ;-)
I still maintain, that innovation is essential part of strategy, but
how you apply it, is strategic consideration. My point was UX is not
necessarily the only mode of innovation. Now don't hammer me for
saying that because I want to define innovation away from UX. Examples
of innovations --
Walmart, Dell, Amazon, UPS, Southwest > Operational Innovation
Starbucks, Wegman, Whole Food > Marketing Innovation
(here the experience is larger/bigger than UX experience)
Chales Shwab, ING Direct > Financial Innovation
iPhone, Segway > Product Based Innovation
Google, Netflix, LinkedIn > UX innovation (may be)
You got my point. On everything else we have agreement.
