JOB - UX RIA Web 2.0 designer – NYC
NYC based company looking for an user experience, user interaction, user
interface designer to create easy-to-use rich media interfaces for an online
community application.
Responsibilities, Skills and Qualities:
o Experience with Web 2.0 capabilities & online communities
o Strong wireframing and layout skills, task flow analysis and creation,
web Interaction models
o Working, hands on knowledge of Flash, CSS, DHTML & Javascript (Adobe
Flex exp. a plus)
o Must be able to balance technical, business, marketing needs with
usability needs
o Good communication and personal skills, work and collaborative with
other designers, developers and managers
o Detail oriented, deliver quality work against set deadlines
o Knowledgeable of best practices, best of breed web-based interfaces
Requirements:
o Define user experience for application and refine features
o Establish site conventions and standards.
o Create storyboards, workflows, mockups, prototypes, specifications that
communicate the information and interaction design for visual design,
content and technical development.
o Plan and conduct usability tests, evaluate results and provide
recommendations for improvements
Experience:
o 4+ years of practical experience in designing user-centric,
consumer-oriented web-based interfaces.
o Degree in human-computer interaction (BS or MS in HCI desirable).
