Senior Content Strategist
A major employer is seeking a Sr. Content strategist to develop the
overall content strategy and create/guide the development of copy for
multiple relevant and impactful projects for a major B2B consumer
operation. This person will drive the messaging within a platform that
brings online tools, services and culture to one of the world's largest
industries. As a member of our User Experience community, you would work
with our strategy, creative and technology teams.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
* Analyze a project's messaging needs and develop a strategy to
meet those needs
* Develop a content creation plan
* Write copy
* Develop a style guide, content matrix and content maintenance
plan
* Work closely with a user experience strategist, marketing,
business and operations team
* Perform usability testing of proposed content features
Required Skills Experience
* An understanding of the classic rules of usage and a familiarity with
major style guidelines, as well as an understanding of audience
segmentation
* 5+ years experience developing interactive content for large consumer
based sites (agency experience a plus)
* 2-3 years experience as a content strategist or online editor
* Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
* Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
* Experience observing user research and translating user research into
content decisions
* Strong understanding of community based formats (forums, blogs),
premiere e-commerce models (Dell, Amazon) as well as consumer based
online tools and resources
* You should also be a strong marketer and understand how to
convey and motivate value to site users throughout the entire site
* Willingness to travel
