My current (short) project involves documenting every page into a
wireframe for the team to use during the build phase (using a CMS).
So the requirement was to have a *drawing* of every page. I chose
visio as I knew I could use backgrounds and shapes efficiently for the
volume of pages (and then I did two groovy things that I will write up
on my blog shortly - hooked it up to a database so I could avoid typing
titles and page numbers; and simulated interactivity using layers and
No design standard - that was up to me.
But this may not be the requirement for the next project and I may do
something entirely different ;) Which was my point - there are different
needs for different projects and we shouldn't throw out visio just
because we think we should be doing something groovier ;)
