well, you don't have to *set* attributes like "important people", "own
contribution" or "unread".
as far as i understand that whitepaper the system works well enough without
personalising it.

i have a folder for every mailing-list i am subscribed to. inside each
folder eMails are sorted according to their subject. this creates a thread
like visualisation.
because i mostly just scan different threads for interesting
keywords/subjects it would by nice to have such a tool like ReMail to help
discover possibly interesting posts (this could be a post with a very bushy
thread arc).
