Absolutely. To the extent that you can't find your car keys, your driving
skills *are* irrelevant and utterly useless.

What ought to be made mandatory for IAs and UI designers, for example, is a
solid understanding of the ramifications of their design on the rest of the
system. A designer who thinks it's useful and interesting to put a slider on
a page whose value is bound to some data in a terabyte DB ought to be shot.
I really don't care what else they can do with their free time.
