The Jupiter Research report, "Beyond the Personalization Myth," assails as
expensive and unproductive the practice of Web site personalization, which
tailors pages according to information gathered about particular visitors.
Instead of implementing personalization strategies, the report suggests,
companies should concentrate on the basics, such as making their sites easy
to search and navigate.
