There has been a last minute change to the ASIST Potomac Valley Chapter
Program for Wednesday, October 1st!

PRESENTATION: The ASIST Web Site Redesign Project: Objectives,
Stakeholders, and Workplan

ABSTRACT: When ASIST decided to redesign their Web site to better serve
members, they decided to do it right--to think through the needs and
requirements of ASIST as an organization, with its unique combination
of practitioners and researchers, functioning as volunteers, members,
and leaders. As a result, a Web redesign group located in the DC area
was formed to look at the process itself and all its aspects--from
identifying users and stakeholders to recognizing the forms, databases,
and transactions that are typically conducted by Society members.

Learn some things about Web site redesign that can help YOU at your
organization, and see how YOUR professional society is working for YOU.

Items they will be discussing:

 - A roadmap defining the long-term vision for www.asis.org.
 - High-level business requirements
 - Current web processes and workflows
 - Usability testing
 - IA and interface design
 - Stakeholder, user and focus group questionaires

WHEN: October 1, 2003 (Wednesday), 6:30pm, social hour and dinner, with
the program to follow.

WHERE: Social and Academic Center at the Foundation for Advanced
Education in the Sciences (FAES) Bethesda, MD

COST: $25 members, $30 non-members, $10 student members

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, September 30th, 5:00 p.m. (Extended!!)
