Not if you've been listening to my rants on prototypes. :-) To me, the
prototype is not a "deliverable" that you generate at the end of an IA
process. It's something you start with early on and change as you go along.
The beauty of a prototype is that it tests what the user will end up seeing,
(or something very close to it) rather than something abstract, isolated and
often contextless like card sorting. What may work during sorting may not
work within the actual context or work quite differently, which was the
problem cited to start the thread, I believe.
