This is one of the more baffling parts of this thread. As I asked before,
just what *is* a splash screen? I've seen "splash screens" with information,
as well as "home pages" with hardly any. One man's splash screen is
another's home page.

So if the client is asking specifically for a splash screen, the only sane
thing to do is to directly ask them just what they think they want in one.
(There's no shame in asking :-) Then give them what they want, if they
cannot be persuaded otherwise.

When you have to put in a "Skip Intro" just to make it believable :-)
