ideograms are fantastic mind-openers... take, for instance, the word Kabuki,
the Japanese Mask Theater: it is a combination of the ideograms for music,
dance and art... can you see the beauty? :-)

(Iīll try to get the ideogram if you guys want to take a look at it...)

  What is really funny here is that I think that I do understand why an
in-depth understanding of Middle Egyptian hieroglyphics is important. But My
question to you would be is it specific to Middle Egyptian? Or would
Sumarian and early Cuniform, as well as Aztec & Mayan symbolic writing forms
also be useful?

  Personally, I'm a big believer that a good IA should know more than 1
language well in order to do their job well.
