My first post after lurking for some time. I just wanted to tout Warren Sack, one of the instructors for the class described below. I met Warren at the Banff Centre for the Arts a few years ago. I recommend everyone who is not familiar with his Conversation Map project to check it out:

Another project of possible interest that Warren and I collaborated on while at the Arts Alliance Lab in San Francisco is called Code Zebra. The project, initiated by Sara Diamond, is an ongoing project, with numerous contributors.

  Here's the web page from a SIMS class offered last semester. It's one of the best approaches to IA in general I've experienced thus far. From week 12-14 the class covered thesauri and controlled vocabularies:
