SIGIA-L: Spartan design

Thanks, friends, for all good views.

Here are some of my thoughts:

A special problem here in Sweden is that any company will get just one domain (strictly "companyname.se"). We're not allowed to register domains like "ourproductthis.se" and "ourproductthat.se". Those can be registered as .com or the popular .nu ("nu" meaning "now" in Swedish), but their connection to an original company URL and brand will be weaker.

To which I agree. I might add another too: when visitors come because they have seen a big advertising campaign about new services or lower premium, I think it would be confusing for them to arrive at a site that doesn't mention that campaign. We must then presume that they can correctly identify which business area that particular offer belongs to. That might seem easy, but a major complaint with the current design is that customers doesn't understand that. (The current homepage might show an offer that rather clearly is for home customers, but still business customers try to get it.)

But the current design is not clearly divided into areas: links, pictures and offers from several BAs are intertwined. My proposed solution - I think - is a design with more info than just the links or shortcuts, but clearly divided into two or three distinct areas.
