I'm the silly "poster" formerly known as Lou Rosenfeld. Why would I perform
such a dastardly and evil deed? A brief explanation...
If we had a reasonable SIGIA-L archive, you'd be able to confirm that I
forwarded the Motorola posting (in *ASCII* format) on December 5, with the
assumption that some SIGIA-Lers might be interested in learning of an open
IA position.
Oddly, a message with the same subject line and a goofy attachment was
posted from my account early in the morning (while I slept) of December 7, a
day that will live on in SIGIA-L infamy. My wife was also sleeping, we
don't have kids, and although we've adopted a cat recently, she's been
two-timing us, apparently spending large amounts of time with some other
gullible family.
So my only suspects are either a nasty gremlin inhabiting the nether world
between MS Outlook and Majordomo, or an evildoer, intent on sullying what's
left of my personal reputation, by spoofing my account. Or maybe I've taken
up sleep-typing? Any other suspects I'm leaving out?
Anyway, I'll forward the posting once more, with the utmost hope that this
will help redeem some people's low opinion of me. And geez, wouldn't it be
nice if we had a decent SIGIA-L archive to refer to in such situations?
Well, we might, soon!
cheers
