I mean that if you are a good speaker you don't really need
presentation software. You don't actually need anything at all except your
voice and the audience.
If you still want to show something to your audience you can use good old
overhead projectors and acetate transparencies (transparent sheets) to write
or draw stuff on. These sheets are placed on the overhead projector which
then displays them onto a projection screen.

For me, overhead projectors are simple to use and cost effective. And if I
need to illustrate a point they allow me to create slides on the fly.
