And after a while, you start noticing senders who you don't get along with

I like a little anarchy (and a surprise now and then), so I for one would
hate to see moderation on the list. Most disturbances come from those who
haven't quite immersed themselves in the list culture. Understand the
community before you post, and think twice before you hit return. And as a
flame retardant, if something bugs you, a gentle email directly to the
person responsible (rather than the whole list) often works wonders.

We're a small enough family here to keep things on a nice keel.
