I taught Russian journalists about Internet puiblishing and explained URL truncation. We had a look at Pravdas site. They had not blocked access to their /image/ catalogue. I said, "let's see what we find" and chose a picture at random. On the screen appears president Vladimir Putin.
Putin was photographed slightly from below, nose and chin up in the air, vain-looking, lofty. Behind his head was a big lamp, looking very much like a royal crown. Twenty journalist wer ROTFLing: "That's a picture they NEVER could publish!"
