JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions are moderated sessions with
the client with the goal of hammering out functionality by talking through
it in detail. Basically a way of formalizing collaboration with the client's
'experts' to understand what a system needs to do, and is used for specification
development as well as requirements gathering. Another carryover from
the IT version of IA.
