SIGIA-L: do I have a twin in the Albany, NY area?

Hi there

I was wondering, just for near future reference, if there are any
information architect/usability/designer types on these lists that reside
somewhere in an hour to 2 hour drive vicinity around Albany NY? No
companies - just freelancers or independent professional sorts

I am currently booked on something here that I might need help on, a fairly
extensive project that might amount to 10-20 hours of work per week for
maybe 10-15 weeks. I don't imagine it will pay much more than $25-$30/hr if
its done hourly - not sure what the project rate would be (I'm just
guessing here). You would probably report to me - and essentially I'm
looking to get some leads on people who would best be described as a
turtle-clone (for more on that, go visit www.turtlesweb.com and look at the
work stuff). Definitely need someone with a lot of IA experience,
possibly with strong design skills as well (we have a few other designers
we can outsource too, though). Its a great project (but you will not be
getting ANY credit for it - it will all be work for hire, I'm sure) - the
problem is I'm already double-booked on other projects, and the only way I
can extricate myself from this one and avoid my terror of half assing
everything I do, is to present my boss with some options. Right now he
sees the only option being cloning me - which isn't possible just yet - so
i'm looking for the next best thing, I guess :)

I'm absolutely sure he is not going to entertain people who aren't able
to be here within an hour or so as this client is rather important and
demanding of our attention, so if you aren't really in the vicinity, please
don't write to me. We're actually in Troy NY, if that matters.

I also can't explore every single response I get - I'm not sure I'm even
sane to be inviting a potential flood of people... :)

thanks in advance for any leads. Please do NOT reply to the list, only me
