For those who are interested in "evidence-based" usability guidelines for
Web development, please see this URL, http://www.usability.gov/guidelines/.
One interesting feature of this site: for each guideline presented, the
authors provide a "strength-of-evidence" scale. The basis of the scale is
explained on the site.
There is often disagreement on this LISTSERV re: the relative
"strengths-of-opinion" when individuals make recommendations - so perhaps
this "strength-of-evidence" feature will interest folks. :>
