Antoinette and all,
No, members of the SIG-IA do NOT have to be members of ASIST. SIG-IA is
open to everyone who is interested in developing the professional practice
of information architecture.
But (as new SIG-IA Membership Officer - sort of like morale officer I guess)
I'd like to encourage people to help themselves to the further benefits of
becoming ASIST members (see www.asis.org/Join/about_asis.html).
Key benefits for me have included access to the JASIS journals and ASIST
Bulletin, plus the heightened satisfaction that comes from supporting and
participating in an important organization whose goals and ideals I share.

Just asking out of curiosity - are all of the members of this listserv
members of ASIS&T? I am a member and have 2 sigs.
