I think this is problematic for the following reasons:
1 - My employer will not allow this, for the very good reason that...
2 - these deliverables are trade secrets.
Which is actually irrelevant to this discussion, IMO, because
3 - shouldn't we be talking about process, not necessarily deliverables?
It seems to me that the IA process is a stable entity, not changing across
projects or organizations. Deliverables and timelines are necessarily
flexible, since every project is different.
Additionally, every one of our employers is different in terms of the kinds
of people/teams that use these deliverables, changing the deliverable sets
we produce.
Seems to me that the point of sharing deliverables has been to
reverse-engineer a process from them. Is there a way to just address the
process itself? And shouldn't any centralized site for IA work towards this,
instead of acting as a deliverables bank?
