Geezy peezy! A rather virulent response, I think! It just don't seem like
you, Ben.
My own thoughts... The top banner and navigation bars do take up almost the
top half of a 600x400 display (our "above the fold" rule of thumb), which is
a bit much. On the other hand, the navigation is pretty clear and got me
everywhere I was interested in going with a minimum of fuss. Introductory
information is available under each of the topic levels, with links to more
info right there on the left. The top banner gets smaller at the secondary
etc. levels, too, which is good.
If I was interested in the company or its product, this site would let me
have a successful session, no problem there.
However, orange links on an orange field is not a vision impaired-friendly
choice. Another thing I didn't love were the banner-like boxes distributed
throughout the site. They look like ads, and not only because they're
banner-ad-shaped. They ARE ads, and don't add value for me, especially
since they use clip art and don't seem to be of anyone I know. I do like the
custom map of the company's offices, and pictures of the outsides of the
buildings and of the staff (I'm a sucker for this kind of thing, I guess it
reminds me of the "personal web site" and I think that's disarming in a
corporate site).
Finally, since you have some giveaway materials of value (white papers, and
perhaps other things), why not put those up front? I agree with Ben that
there's more than enough promotion on the home page. Of course, a corporate
site promotes the company, but some of that seems to be there to fill in
spaces.

Ack! Where do I begin?
["...Might be some issues?" You ain't kiddin'.]
"Wall Of Sound" was appropriate to guitar-rock in the Seventies, "Wall of
Information" is VERY inappropriate to Web sites, anytime, unless you're a
portal of some kind...
