Sorry if I hit a nerve. I have taught quite a bit, I enjoy it and have never
taken that old saw seriously-- usually it makes me laugh. I'm actually
looking actively for opportunities to teach again.
what I *do* believe is teaching and being able to do the thing begin taught
well are two different skills. Just because one is good at teaching doesn't
mean one is a brilliant architect and vice-versa. I feel the same way about
management (which is *very* like begin a teacher).
Different skills; some times people have both, sometimes they don't, but I
wouldn't expect them to.
