Karin,
I think you might want to begin with the Library of
Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) - I'm not sure if
you've investigated them as of yet, but the LCSH
represent many years of research and effort into
general subject taxonomy and classification, and is
usually a good place to start on many classification
projects. Although I'm not sure if the LCSH can help
you much with Car Rental-specific classification and
term aggregation, it has an extensive tree listing for
"Rental Services," and could at least give you an idea
on how to approach your subject.
If you are truly stuck, (or if your project budget is
not so tight) you might consider consulting with a
cataloger at your nearest academic library, or
Information Sciences program.
