SIGIA-L: re: navigation references

From: Laura O'Grady (l.ogrady_at_sympatico.ca)

Further to my own post requesting journal articles supporting Jennifer
Fleming's ten qualities of successful navigation here are the actual ten
navigation principles:

1. Navigation should be easily learned
2. Navigation should be consistent
3. Navigation should provide feedback
4. Navigation should appear in context
5. Navigation should offer alternatives
6. Navigation should require an economy of action and time
7. Navigation should provide clear visual messages
8. Navigation should offer clear labels
9. Navigation should be appropriate to the site's purpose
10. Naviagation should support users' goals and behaviours

Thanks.

Laura
