well, on some pages, their "home" link 404s, all of the navigational
links on their "info" page are disabled, so beware....

they must be pointed at people who enjoy browsing; you navigate with a
"next" link that takes you to the next item or to the next group of
items (depending on whether you start in a group or on an individual
item).

if they're successful, then this way of presenting their merchandise is
effective, I guess. it would have been more fun for me if their
merchandise appealed to me more. on the other hand, if I had seen
something there I liked and then had no way of navigating directly to
it, I think I might find it a bit annoying. but I tend to prefer to see
*all* my choices before I settle on one.

of course, I've had that exact experience in stores that regularly
rotate their merchandise among their racks, so this may be a successful
strategy for a certain type of shopper looking for a certain type of
merchandise, and who gains a sense of exclusivity by purchasing items
that are "not easy to find."

When it shall be said in any country in the world, 'My poor are happy;
neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are
empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want, the
taxes are not oppressive' -- when these things can be said, then may
that country boast of its constitution and government. -- Thomas Paine
