Re: SIGIA-L: the dreaded L and atrocious tabs - a response to a response

Sorry I'm just now responding to this, but I've been busy and I'm just now
getting to this thread.

I think that the post from the papermedia.com employee was in fact inviting
some abuse. Not that people should go overboard with it, but his comments
were pretty arrogant (and sophomoric at best).

Of course, now I'm speaking of him as if he would never read this, and that
is kind of silly too...since he's a member of the list.

So, maybe the thing is to remember that everyone on the list is "present"
and should be spoken of cordially, as if they were "in the room"?

Mailing list etiquette is still a mysterious thing, even after all the FAQ's
:-)

I think the neutral tone was a good approach. I will comment (about a month
late, I know) that (mustering my neutral tone as much as possible) I went
there, spent about 10 seconds trying to figure out how to get to any
information at all, and then closed my window.

But I'll be the last one to brag about my company website (I'm proud of it,
but in the same way I'm proud of my daughter--flaws and all <grin>) because
it invariably invites unwelcome comment.
