I just finished reading your post of last week. The problem has probably
already morphed into something else by now, but I couldn't let that cry
for help go without at least a "I hear you; hang in there."

I noticed you didn't get any response on the list. Too bad, I would have
liked to have read other comments. I can only say that you keep your
perspective in the face of this impending (already passed?) blow up. The
perspective I see is that you have done the best you can, using your
expertise to advise the employer. Your advice was not taken. Of course
it's impossible to do a grand job in no time at all, but you sound to me
like you know enough to determine what are the most noticeable changes
you can make in the shortest time. I say do the thing that makes the
biggest change for the better in the shortest amount of time.

Also, remember not to panic. Personally, I find panic and overwhelm
totally immobilizing. Anyone who's worked on web sites or in software
development, knows this (your) story. It's just harder when you don't
have anyone working with you to commiserate with.

Let me know what's happening.
