I agree this site is beautiful, Margaret and I love the content (I
immediately added a link to it from my website), BUT I'm not so sure about
"great navigational clarity."
My first move on the site was to click on READ in the global nav bar at the
top of the page. What was READ? Was that where to read about the background
and purpose of the site? Was it to read about using the site? Was it to
read about art and culture in general? Turns out it was an "electric
magazine." And the global nav bar disappeared. There was no way to get back
Home other than to use the Back button. (Or if there was, I missed it.) Hmm.
What's also interesting (and I can't explain) is that I opened two windows
(using Netscape 4.6) and went directly to Film in both. In one window,
there was no sign of the global nav bar (I think that's what you meant by
"cloud"); in the other window it appeared just fine.

My vote: http://www.artandculture.com. Beautiful design (information and
>visual), beautiful content, truly educational and useful.
