SIGIA-L: Document Analysis

I am reviewing a schema for classifying and describing web pages (documents)
on our site. I am trying to see if I have an adequate range of terms for: a)
the type of page (what the page does for users - functionality), and b) the
type of information provided to users.
I would appreciate the sharing of any templates for use in this type of
analysis, or any relevant cites. Any thoughts on this type of analysis are
welcome.
Additional info: this page information will be used to augment more
straightforward information captured about the pages such as: links in,
links out, visual continuity (template used? partially used? not used?),
etc. in creating an inventory of pages for redesign.
To give you a sense of the schema, here are some of the descriptors so
far(we have a large, rather diverse site that in some ways resembles the web
at large):

Forum/chat
ecommerce/ordering
