They use data from MyComputer.com that's based on analyzing the traffic to
a bunch of sites that use the SuperStats tracking program. The question
there is how representative the SuperStats sites are, relative to the Net
population as a whole. I'd also like to know how many sites use
SuperStats relative to the number of sites as a whole (and I know that
"site" is hard to define), and what the geographic/industry distributions
of those sites are. The fact that MyComputer has to advertise that they
exclude porn sites from the statistics gives me a hint that it may not be
used by many large, mainstream commercial sites.

That said, the corroboration shows that Flash IS quite prevalent in the
industry and should not be ignored.
