Point well taken, Marijke, and I have to admit that writing interpretive
essays [and the critical feedback I got on them from the professors] in
English / American Literature Classes was one of the most valuable
educational experiences I have had {as well as one of the most
enjoyable}(even though it was in High School), as well as one of my
favorites. Regardless of how it is acquired, interpretation (and learning
to think in, around, and outside the box) is one of life's [and
Architecture's] most valuable lessons.

Good for you, Robert.

How about the real point of my message: that interpretation
is a more significant skill than some of the practical
knowledge one picks up on the job?
